Why does the hydrogen absorption machine need distilled water (TDS=0) or purified water?

The hydrogen inhaler machine uses PEM hydrogen production technology (proton exchange membrane water electrolysis hydrogen production). Its working principle is to use proton exchange membrane as electrolyte to decompose water into hydrogen and oxygen.
We generally recommend customers to use distilled water with TDS=0 (TDS= Total dissolved solids, the total solid content dissolved in water) or purified water from a big brand. The smaller the TDS value, the more effective it can be in improving the efficiency of water electrolysis and the purity of hydrogen production, and extending the service life of the equipment.
